I find myself returning to Josh Keyes site pretty frequently, since he periodically updates it. One new addition is a ‘Featured Work‘ link, where he writes a little bit about a specific painting.

Here’s a snippet of what he wrote about the above painting (”Weaving”, 18″ x 24″, acrylic on canvas, 2007):

“This idea came to me suddenly, I did not plan it out or know what it meant until after I painted it. Even after it was completed, the image and its meaning are still open and working. There have been many different interpretations of what the message or meaning is of this painting. Is it a conflict, a friendship, an exchange of information or ideas, I like the fact that it is open to interpretation.”

A print of this painting is currently available through Tiny Showcase for $30. Buy it.
