This month’s issue of San Francisco Magazine has an article entitled “The art issue(s): The young and hungry have arrived” which focuses on several newer SF galleries who are leading the charge in putting San Francisco on the art-world map.
Ratio 3, Silverman Gallery, Fecalface Gallery, and Triple Base Gallery are all mentioned as galleries who are showcasing work that is innovative and risk-taking. These galleries also have another commonality - they show local artists.
Collectively these galleries may help turn San Francisco into a city whose art scene is as vital and relevant as Los Angeles and New York.
